Where great old Macs live again!

I have a 733mhz Power Macintosh G4 Quicksilver tower that has been my primary Mac since I bought it brand new in 2001. I am currently running Mac OSX 10.3.9. The Mac has 1.125GB of Ram, 2 internal hard drives and an internal CD-RW drive.

I am having a problem with the CD-R drive. It reads music CDs and some original data CDs. It doesn't read other data CDs, nor does it read blank CD-Rs that I want to use to make copies of my files on CD. Bottom line is that I cannot burn data to the blank CD-Rs when for the past 7 1/2 years I could.

Anyone know what the problem could be and how to solve it?

i'm pretty sure it would be relatively cheap to just buy a usb superdrive or even cheaper to buy a usb cd rw or even cheaper to buy an internal cd rw ... like less than the 50 dollar range ... so i would go on ebay and look for a good deal
