Where great old Macs live again!

I just acquired a PowerBook 250 Duo (more details on my blog http://retromaccast.ning.com/profiles/blogs/powerbook-250-duo-and), but the LCD is fractured. Is it possible or practical to transplant an LCD from another similar PowerBook model into the 250? What do I need to look out for?

I was able to trade out different screens on the 100 series PBs. Purchased one with good screen, bad Motherboard, and had another with the opposite. I was able to swap the screens, or the whole lid. Can't remember right now, I'll have to dig them out to remember. But, the main problem with those I found was using kid gloves with the old plastics. Little parts break very easily. If you were able to find another PB with the same type screen, I don't think it would be difficult, just take your time, and be very gentle. Like it's the first time. I think I might have some "take apart manuals" in PDF format. I'll take a look and let you know.

Googling for it is not the worst idea, in combination with 'exploded view', 'manual', 'service' and things like that. And have an eye on the eBay, Kathryn is absolutely right. Be patient.

Link to a (possibly) helpful Video on Youtube (if you can download it and slow it down):

Otherwise, I have Manuals for the 100, 150, 190, 2300, 1400 and up. I can't find one for the Duo. but one of these might help.
