Aluminum iMac Fans

I know the site is centered around retro Macs, but you can't deny it's a sight for sore eyes for fans of all Macs, retro and new :)

I just got a unique opportunity to use one for a few days, as my cousin (who lives near by) is gone for the weekend. I haven't hardly been able to put the mouse down.

Apple replaced my C2duo 24 imac with a 27 inch core i5 imac I am loving it even more

I recently got my iMac back from the shop after being there for 5 days. Mine just had the graphics card go out. They would have had it done sooner, but they had to order the new card!

Hi. I have a 21.5'' core 2 duo and a 2.0ghz macbook and i was wondering if I could use the imacs internal superdrive as an external to my macbook, wireless or wired. Thank you

i believe (at leat on the older macs) the only way i know of doing this is to network the machines with ethernet in osx or to connect a firewire cable and when booting you hold down t which puts it in target disk mode where you imac's hard drive and cd drive will show up on the macbook

Apple has a support document about how to do this wirelessly with a Macbook Air. Follow this link to go to that suport document.

 

It seems that under normal conditions this only works on the Macbook Air.  But I did find a Terminal Hack that seems to make it happen on any Mac, over at Mac Tricks & Tips.  I'm no where near a Mac expert, let alone knowledgable about terminal commands.  You might want to run this by someone before executing it.  But if you want to try it, this link will take you right to it>

Hey everyone. My 2008 20" iMac is my first Mac and it's been fantastic these past 4 years. When Mountain Lion drops it will be the 4th OS installed on this machine!
