Apple II Community Resources

Kansas Fest 2009 Dates Announced! The KFest committee has announced dates for KFest 2009 - July 21st through July 29th. This will be their 20th year of Apple II (and really all things Apple) Celebration.

16sector NOW OPEN Tony Diaz has opened his new Apple 2 hardware/software site offering new Apple II hardware addressing almost any need you have. Tony's been working for a long time on this and the polish of the site shows. Available immediately are Sirius Memory cards for Apple //gs (really necessary for GS/OS) fully populated with 8 MEG and Focus IDE controllers and CF adapters that are surely the best available. Between Tony and ReactiveMicro.com there's no good reason for not having your apple ][ running Silvern Castle!!

For Software and Documentation resources, check the Call A.P.P.L.E. links page. Tons of stuff linking to all kinds of resources. There were so many good links I couldn't steal a few to put here!

If you have any in particular you think would be useful (I'd like to keep it under 7-10 links) let me know!

Special thanks go to all our really helpful people out there keeping these old machines ticking and making our old dogs do new cool tricks!

I don't think anybody has posted this link yet:

"JJ Sonic" hooked up his Apple IIe last October and has been hacking hard since then. He takes terrific screen photos, these are so much better than emulator screenshots. You're not hardcore unless you grok the color fringe :)

I have created a YouTube Playlist to showcase Apple IIGS programs. It is a show for kids by kids using the Apple IIGS computer.

Enjoy!

Just uploaded GScript BASIC 1.5 to the web.

Works only with HTML 5 browser (Safari 4, Firefox 3.1, etc):

GScript BASIC is an Applesoft BASIC lookalike that I designed for my daughters. Any Applesoft BASIC programmers can picked it up very easily! It allows kids to write Applesoft BASIC like commands with improved syntax and multimedia capability.

I just posted some mp3 tracks from the IIgs classic Zany Golf on my RMC homepage (thefcpguy). Thanks to http://www.whatisthe2gs.apple2.org.za/ for making these available!

Is there any place I can get Apple IIGS recorded sound and music that can be free for use for game and demo development?

I am not too sure how many see this video about Woz visit the Digibarn? The ending of the show is fascinating... potentially open source out Apple II design and portable micro Apple IIe, etc.
