I live in Flowery Branch, Georgia (about 1/2 hour north of Atlanta) and I have about 6 Macs (I thought that was pretty good until I joined the Retromaccast group!). The highlight of my collection is probably a PowerMac 9600.

I a fairly lucky, as Our nearest store is not that far away. It is about a 30-45 minute drive, but that is doable. If anybody here is familiar with the greater Memphis, TN area, you would recognize that Germantown is about 30 min. north. That is about how far we must go. Here is a Link to the store: http://www.apple.com/retail/saddlecreek/

Hi all. I live in Miami, Florida, and I have 3 Macs: iMac G5, Quadra 650, and PowerBook Duo 230. I also have an eMate 300. The highlight of my collection? All of them! :-D

I have a Mac Classic II, PowerMac G5, G4, G3(B&W), G3 AIO, IIci, Quadra 700, Apple IIe, IIc, and the iMac G3 that's in parts. I have not seen an official Apple store in miles from where I live(Best Buy and Comp USA do not count)

I have three Macs, and am in Northern Mississippi, and the highlight is my Mac SE Superdrive.

Is that a store, or just a repair place?

If it is a store, please tell me the location, I'd like to visit some time.

I hope I am Southern enough . . . I was born in Decatur, Alabama, went to Auburn University, have lived in Georgia for a number of years now . . . but seriously, I live in Duluth, Georgia now and would like to contribute to the group in any way I can.

John, regarding Apple Stores and distance from them . . .

I think there is one at the Mall of Georgia, about 30 minutes away and of course in Atlanta, but I have yet to set foot in an Apple store.

I love Apple, and Macs, but over the years I've been forced to be on my own for service, parts, etc. Since Comp-USA has not gone we still have a couple of MicroCenter's. The original store has a great Macintosh area within the store, but Frys and others continue to treat Macs like another appliance.

I know the Apple stores are there, but to be honest, I just haven't felt anything really pulling me into the store.

I guess I'll get by an Apple Store when I need to replace a laptop or get my next workstation.

Hi y'all!

Here in NC we have an Apple Store at the Southpoint Mall, in Durham, NC. Pretty nice store. There I got my very first own Mac: my little iBook :) And there is another one that I know of at the Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh.

Besides the iBook, my wife has an iMac c2d, and I have a Cube and a couple of PowerMacs 7x00. And I got my lil'sis a Mac Mini G4 and convinced dad to get a MacBook. A happy Mac family.

Hi all, I'm originally from the Richmond VA area, and currently live in Charlotte. My wife and I have 3 Intel Macs, one PPC mini, and various classic Macs. I use my iMac 20" every day but my SE/30 has to be the highlight of my collection.
