Where great old Macs live again!

Apple = very amusing packing materials

Like Jesse, I also purchased a MacBook Pro this week. My very first Intel machine! I'm both relieved and a little ashamed. Coincidentally, my G5 blew its second processor shortly after I ordered this machine.

... but I digress. These cardboard wedges are have a delightfully chunky feel when you handle them. They also inspired me to have a little fun. :)

What manner of creature is that second from the right?

That is supposed to be a capybara. :-)  This is actually a likeness of the late great Caplin ROUS, a capybara who lived the good life in Texas. <= obligatory cute documentary video

That's a good laugh! Thanks for sharing your fun with us. And, good timing on the new MBP! So sad about your G5 :-(

Oh man Derek!  Sorry to hear about your G5!!  I'm sure he/she will be missed very much.  I would die if I had a G5/Mac Pro that blew.  I'm sure he/she is in the Mac afterlife, having fun with Macintosh's that have already moved on.  I'm sure that your G5 didn't not suffer the worst fate a Mac can, to be reincarnated as a WIndows PC!  LOL  Had to throw that in!!  :-)    Good luck with the new MacBook Pro Derek!!
