I've had mine for about 12 years. For a few months in the early 2000's it was actually my main TV. I lost two TV's in a weeks time to power surges, and used the Mac TV until I could save up enough for a new TV.

Is there black performa model which is not Macintosh TV?

The 5400/180, 5420, and some 5500's were produced in black.

Oh, that I know and I have seen. Cool machines! - but not as cute as 500 series.

I've never seen one of the black 5xxx models myself, but a lot of them were only sold outside of the US.

I like the 500 series better, too. :)
