Where great old Macs live again!

I just got back my Classic II logic board from MacCaps.com, and the leaky electrolytic capacitors are no more. I look forward to firing this up when I get home tonight!

That's a work of art!

And it works perfectly. I highly recommend Charles at MacCaps.com. His work is top quality and his turnaround was quick- I got this back about a week after sending.

There seems to be a lot of love for very old Macs these days. Between things like floppy emu and maccaps...has it always been that way? Years ago when I was more closely in tune with the community it was very difficult to find even basic parts or software.

I think enough time has passed for people to stop thinking of them as being too slow or outdated for actual day to day work, and start thinking of them as being fun retro projects. I really like the new tech in old gear movement- I'm tempted by that SCSI2SD hardware that lets you boot a classic Mac from an SD card. I've had a CFFA in my Apple IIgs for years and it's great.
