Thanks for sharing the take apart! I think my favorite thing to do it take apart a computer!

I didn't see any thermal paste in the photos, was there any between the chips and the heat sink?

Rick, of course there was the stock thermal paste, I cleaned it off for the photos.  I replaced the stock paste that apple had used, it's garbage imo.

Ha, that sounds about right! Yep, I always like to replace the stock paste as soon as my machine is out of warrantee :)

I literally just got it lol.  Since changing the paste, the temps are around the same, but they don't jump quite so quickly, they slowly go up and the case stays cooler, even put a SSD in the mini, the damn thing flys :)
