Yep, this machine has the best startup sound of them all, even the TAM.

The start up chime always brings a smile to my face, when I power it on.

With the subwoofer in it, the startup chime is amazing,
or frightening to PC users.

Your welcome, I have one also somewhere in my (not so clean) loft. It was the second Mac I bought new and cost me far too much! Great machine though, that start up chime is loud!

The loft is clean now, but this desk normally is covered with keyboard, mice, monitors and floppy disks! I took everything off to get these shots.

You are spot on about the cards, they are a TV card and the Avid card.

Is that a TV tuner also? what is the other card in it? Avid?
