Powerbook 145 fixed...

Apple does a great job of support - even on this ancient stuff. I can't even remember where I posted a question about why this old Powerbook 145 wouldn't power on. Months later I received an email from one of Apple's original design engineers for this old laptop Mac who explained that one of the fuses on the logic board (F1) was prone to failure. Sure enough, after soldering a 24g wire trace in place of the tiny F1 fuse, it fired right up.

Hmm. Maybe this explains why my powerbook 180 won't power on…

Probably is. Look for logic board components marked "F" and a corresponding number - those are the fuses. You can jumper them with light gauge, preferably single-strand wire (24g)
