There was an episode just on the Yikes revision, but from what I can tell there was never one on the full PM G4 line. If I'm not just missing it, it'd be cool to get an episode on that.

I don't usually pick up older software, but I made an exception here:This is version 1.0, for HP-UX as the sticker notes. Still sealed and everything.See More

"Not only is it the same card, I'm 99% sure it's the same Mac! :) No cable sadly, it looks like there was one at one point."

"I found this discussion https://www.mail-archive.com/compact.macs@mail.maclaunch.com/msg11593.html It sounds like they're talking about the same card. If so does yours have a cable that goes from the FPD to a connector leading out of…"

"I suppose it's possible; it attaches to the 68000 with a Killy Klip. The chip on the board is an FPGA."

"it has a 57mhz ocilator, and the pins of the empty slot, of which the chip might be underneath, looks like a 68k chip, could be a processor upgrade?"

"That's a great deal and find. They are getting harder to find. There is a member over at 68K MLA that does recaps. I think he goes by Uniserve."

This was for sale locally, and I realized I shouldn't let it pass me by, especially not for the modest price they had it listed at.

Anyone recognize this FPD card?

I found this inside a Mac Plus I just got, but I can't find anything short of an old LEM discussion (which I suspect was about this very Mac) trying to find out info on it. It looks to be an FPD card, except I don't see any record that Lapis ever made one for the Plus...See More

More stuff.

I went to the thrift store for a pot lid, saw this poor Quicksilver and took it home. It's in good shape, though it didn't have any RAM (I needed to order PC133 for my Cube anyway). 733MHz model, 40 and 80GB hard drives, DVD-RW drive, and a graphics downgrade to a Rage 128. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it just yet, but I'm excited for the possibilities. A new GPU and 1.5GB of RAM…See More

New additions to collection

Got a few new Macs added.

First one is a humble SE/30, which needs a recap but otherwise is in good shape. Running 7.0.1, 300MB Quantum HDD, 16MB of RAM.

The second is more special.…

My small collection.

Hi all! I've used Macs on and off for years. First ones I used were in kindergarten, and I believe they were LCII's (not positive on that.) I still remember when the school got Bondi Blue iMacs, which were very different and seemed cool.

Didn't have any contact with a Mac (or anything Apple related) from about 2001 on, until I got my first iPod (a green 2nd Gen 4GB Mini) in the summer of 2005. Upgraded to an 8GB Touch Christmas of 2007, shortly after they'd come…
