When did you get your first Mac?
While I got my first Mac (Performa 6220CD) back in late 1995, I have been an Apple user since 1985 with an Apple IIc I got for Christmas. Sadly, she has gone to Digital Heaven years ago but I long to own an Apple II once again (preferably a IIgs which I've always longed for).
How many Macs do you own?
3 Macs: 2 GHz iMac G5 rev. B, Macintosh Quadra 650 (currently used as a web server), PowerBook Duo 230 (sitting dormant in a closet for now). I used to have a StarMax 4000 MT clone but I've since given that to my father.
What's your favorite Mac of all time?
I live in sunny (more like rainy recently) Miami, FL.
How did you hear about RetroMacCast?
I heard about the RetroMacCast from Low End Mac and the 68KMLA forum (username=QuadSix50), and I've finally decided to take the plunge and join the rest of my brethren here at the Ning site. :-)

A shot of my workstation area

As you can see, the iMac G5 is prominently displayed on the center with the Quadra 650 chugging away hosting our family homepage on the bottom left. It is sharing the monitor above it with the Slackware Linux PC on the bottom right (monitor is displaying Xscreensaver). I also have my two synths on the left connected to the iMac G5 using an M-AUDIO MidiSport 2x2 USB MIDI interface.

I posted a reply to your QuickTake question in the latest episode's discussion. I think all you may need is a set of lithium batteries.

I just read the teeny tiny print on my Energizer rechargeable batteries. They are Nickel Metal Hydride aka NiMH. They do NOT work in the 200!! I had mistakenly thought they were considered alkaline.

Thank you very much. There are so many more here with so much more knowledge than me. I wanted people to understand what people can do with these machines.

Awesome, thanks! It was lots of fun to produce, I participated in the RPM Challenge 2008 (Record Production Month) and slapped together a seriously nerd-core album last February. Here's the final jukebox with everybody's submissions, search for Gnudutch to find my ten tracks, then listen to all the other artist's great free stuff!

February is coming soon I'll probably do another one, you should join in too!

Claudio, I have an Apple QuickTake 100 (I was reading your comments) and although I did hunt down the proper battery for it I did test AA's and they worked but I've read they don't last as long. I also noticed you live in Miami so I've gotta say I'm a Dolphins fan - have been since I was 12. I still love Dan Marino.

My 8 Macs comprise:

Powerbook G3 Kanga (my one remaining retro machine, have had Wallstreets, Lombards & Pismos as well)
17" Intel iMac (Core 2 Duo) for my wife
12" PowerBook G4 that my son uses
15" MacBook Pro (1st Gen Core Duo)
17" MacBook Pro (last gen before the Unibody machines)
G4 Mac Mini (sat in the living room feeding the Apple TV)
17" iMac G5 (which I bought for work so I didn't have to use a PC)
MSI Wind Netbook hacked to run OS X

Hi !
I just put this to Kathryn's page:
Oh, you've tried some of them.
Is this Miranda related to ?
That's astronomic !
