Why don't you start a discussion about this item ? Take a photo, add all the informations referring to it; and if it isn't working, can trying something make it worse ?

About what I wrote on June 12th, 5:27, 'condensor' must be replaced by 'capacitor' - my dictionary isn't good for technical terms, I'm sorry.

That's an interesting way to get Apple hardware - but no wonder, as pricing was beyond compare those days...

So maybe you're right here. I cannot really help with these models, but I have an idea about th SE; this reads as if a condensor problem had occured.
I can't tell you which condensor may be affected, but it's a matter of a few cents then to repair this.
Apple supplied bigger replacable subunits to change, and they were very reserved about detailed hardware informations. A few of the RMC members were or are Apple technical personnel - just ask your questions.
