Welcome David! So do you still own the same SE you got in 1987? Wow!

Welcome David!
I've enjoyed your podcasts too. But I never knew you had any retro Macs - that's great! One of us - welcome!

That's a great history - I wish I would've learned programming when I was younger, back then I was "just a user". Now with Cocoa and Xcode there's so many great tools - but I have NO time and can only dabble. Still - what fun!
It's great that you're going to put your SE/30 to work and we'll all look forward to hearing how that goes! Most of my old Macs just sit quietly by me here in my office while my modern Mac gets all the fun.
By the way, I've listened with interest when you've talked about your MacBook Air on podcasts. I know you're very happy with it and I'm SO close to buying one for work. But I need to learn FileMaker so I can make a database that will let me justify buying the Air. Right now I use a MS Access based consulting program on a work laptop. I tried CrossOver and the program loaded but wouldn't run (not surprising as it wasn't a supported program). It was worth a try and if it would've worked - I'd have bought the Air that night! As it is, I'm back to studying FileMaker on my days off.
Well speaking of work.....
