Still using my PowerMac 8500
A few Mondays ago, I strolled into my office with my old, but stovebolt-strong PowerMac 8500 (running OS 9.1) underarm.
After hooking it up to my Compaq CRT (thanks to a Belkin Mac-to-VGA adaptor) and connecting my mouse and keyboard (thanks to a Belkin USB-to-PS/2 adaptor), plugging in the patchcord for the network connection, and finally adding power...I fired her up.
And, to life she sprang forth.
So...quick click here....OK...cool. I see the Internet, therefore, my email access is good. I use GMail to collect my company email, so I don't worry about having mail on only ONE machine. Import my .xls files via USB drive. Done. I have all of my files. Office 1998 can open them ALL. So far, I'm batting 1000!
