I also recently acquired a complete set of SE manuals, including both the 1987 and 1989 user guides. I scanned the chapter page spreads from the '87 manual, which can be viewed here:

No way, I use that CD 300 with lots of different machines. I have reverted the internal CD-ROM drive back to the original. The sticker residue has since been cleaned off.
You may put the CD 300 in the Mac, a little bit of cleaning and it will look much better.
Seems as if something like a sticker had been on the front ?
I like this machine for its front power switch, but it starts up with a keyboard hit, too.
