At times of the world turning slave to the idea of Windows compatibility and OS X ("Crocodile" or whatever the latest version is called) we should start collecting all those useful applications that no longer run on OSX and which require a retro, the older the better.
"Entertain your Budgy" is a very useful application I wrote for the NASA. On tests during orbit-flights space-psychologists made the observation that – in situations of hazard – astronauts tend to react more calmly when a Budgy (Melopsittacus undulatus) is with them in the cabin of the spaceship. As having a living Budgy on board prooved a dangerous venture because of BEITSS (Birdeat-in-the-Switch-Syndrom: small grains of Budgy-food wedging in the controlpanel-keys) the NASA paid me to have this Budgy-simulator implemented. Later, somebody managed to substitute Budgy- food-grains with liquid (Liquichirp®), so the obligatory "Space-Budgy" is back on board.
