Apple II Modem-ers

The 1980s was a period of the Hayes Micromodem II and Novation Apple Cat II. It was a period of the BBS and later AE lines and Cat-Fur/Disk-Fur. It was a period of THE SOURCE. Share your experiences in modeming on the Apple II.

RMC music is everywhere!

I don't know what song is used for RMC's intro music, but it's REALLY popular lately!  I've stumbled across it in two different videos in the past week alone: I doubt it would be so popular had RMC not made it so!See More

Welcome Ken! For those of you that don't know, Ken is a huge friend of the retro-computing world - most people just think he's slightly to moderately crazy about "old stuff".

Thank you, sir! I do indeed get some razzing at work, asking when I'm going to abandon my retro ways and add electricity and indoor plumbing ... but when I used the Apple II to write about the Apple II in a story that was tops the week it was published, and in the top ten for the month, that shut up a few naysayers.

That's cool that you wrote that article on Dan Budiac in Computerworld. I guess you know that we interviewed him on an episode of our podcast too!

Yes, I listened to as many interviews with Dan as I could, including yours (episode #57), prior to doing my own. They were all a lot of fun! Thanks for using your show to bring attention to this awesome topic.

Sent an email to you today via a general email address at CW. If it doesn't come through tomorrow, I can send it to you directly.
