Woz told me a story in email: "Apple at one point turned down the Pascal P-System. That very evening Bill Atkinson and myself hopped on a plane at our own expense and flew down to UCSD, where the P-System had been developed. We stayed with developers in their lab that whole night and incorporated Apple II disk routines and graphics routines. We brought it back and showed how useful and good this Pascal system was and Apple changed its mind."

The site "Virtual GS" is designed for my 8 years old son - he is now a pretty good Pascal programmer, enough to write a game! Of course it will help any > 8 years old to learn program... :)
