I have the 8GB iPod touch. The wi-fi causes the battery to go a little faster, but it lasts a really long time. I've been pleased with it. I'll send along the iChat info when I'm at my main Mac. Right now the cat refuses to move! Catch you later.
I have used iChat, but not very often.
Right now I'm actually hanging out with a cat on my lap and using my iPod touch to cruise around the Internet and get caught up with my email. The iPod touch is amazing! A tiny Mac in my hand!
Yes! I see your point! Actually now that I have it all set up (it really WAS easy), I was thinking that I shouldn't sully the beautiful Cube with TV anyway! It seems I don't really miss the tube at all...
I have a use for the Cube!! It doesn't have an Airport card but I just got it hooked up to the internet via an ethernet connection to my Airport Express (the Express is in WDS mode to the Extreme in the basement where the cable modem is located). I don't have a TV (well I do, but it's not plugged in), but now have watched a few minutes of TV on the Cube via Hulu.com and that was a kick. The Cube is not quite up to the minimum hardware requirements, but it's good enough to watch a few episodes of the Simpsons!
Sergio:
So far I haven't had a chance to play with the "new" Mac, but I'm hoping to fire up System 1 on the Mac 512 this weekend! I need to at least make a backup of the System 1 floppy! Have a great weekend.

Have a nice Memorial Weekend - maybe a long bike ride?
