Profile Information

When did you get your first Mac?
1991 which was a Mac Plus that I still have. My first new Mac was a 8500/150 I bought new in December 1996 that I still use to this day. My current main system is a G4 sawtooth 500mhz, which is showing its age a bit.
How many Macs do you own?
Somewhere well north of 30... I've never counted them all...
What is your website?
What's your favorite Mac of all time?
My Power Mac 8500 was my first powerful mac that I treasure to this day.
How did you hear about RetroMacCast?
From John himself who is one of my dearest friends on this or any other planet.

Word on the 100 Epsoide gets around the web....

Sam logs on: "Checking mail.... load iTunes, checking for new podcasts to download..."

Sam: "Hey Lindsay, check it out James and John just completed their 100 episode..."

Lindsay: "Isn't John the one with the deep sexy voice?"

Sam: "Yea, that's him already, I wish I sounded like that in the clubs..."

Lindsay: " I think its really sexy being a Geek!"

Greetings all, Most of my collection has come of other peoples trash piles or from school sales. My most recent Apple product is a 8 Gig iPhone which I love and use constantly.

Thank you so much Kathryn. I really need to get back to my old website and update the thing, its SO out of date, it makes me cry. Hopefully, this kick in the pants will get me moving to blog to my own site about my macs, my wonderful new (for me) 2007 Mustang GT and the house I'm renovating that I hope to display my mac collection sometime later this year. One quick mac that I adore but have in storage is my two color classics. Great little system. Have a great week!

Oh yea, the photo isn't meant to make me look santic or any thing like that, just theatric.

I guess, I should name a few of my favorite macs, which have no real ranking other then I like them and still use them to this date. "Theodore" is my legacy 8500/150 powermac that is sporting a G3/300mhz processor is still my favorite functioning mac, even thought years ago, I stopped using Theodore as my main internet surfing machine and bought a used G4 / 500 hz sawtooth off ebay that as my main system. I need to do an upgrade pretty soon with Apple discontinuing support or development for 10.3.9, and I just want a faster mac anyway!

I want to pick up a G3 Blue and White, which I think is the most attractive powermac ever built, even thought they are outdated by current standards.

I have a love affair for the cute Color Classics which I named "Petra" for my favorite playmate, of which I own two. John did the 640 X 480 upgrade a few years back, and I've even have a 10 base-T ethernet card installed. For powerbooks, I've done the used upgrade route starting with a Powerbook 520c / "Journeyman" to 3400c 240mhz "Green Destiny" which I have several, to the next upgrade was to a G3 Wallstreet 300mhz, which I also named "Green Destiny" to my current iBook G3 500mhz "Viper Mk5" which is getting rather slow by current standards. more to come!
