Not a rocket science, just follow the iFixit giude about how to change the optical drive, dress down the EMI-shields and the ribbon cable from the original cd-rom, then refit those on an ATAPI slot-in DVD combo drive. You can forget the cd faisca or make a slot-in hole on it somehow. I reccomend to cover it with some soft layer anyway, I could feel a sucking airflow during reading on my clamshell.
