I start to work with mac in 2004, that was a iMac G5. It was a bit strange, but after a while I just realized it works for me.
I bought a iBook G3 for myself in 2006.Since then I'm a machead.
I guess this is a very good time to collect old macs in Hungary, because the Apples are quiet rare over here and nobody really knows what they are still capabe of.Many people think they are only fashion items, girly bathroom computers, with a very high prices.
Now I've got a Mac classic, 2x Newton, Performa LCIII, 3x ibook G3, Bondi Blue iMac, powerbook G4+powermac G4 digital audio and an 2x iPhone 1st gen.
I'm usually buying and repairing iBook laptops (with the notorious VPU probem ) with a heatgun, and reselling them with a small profit. I have a lots of spare parts, so if anyone need something special, contact me!
My latest project was a retro apple pendrive and to paint a iBook G3 to bright green( I called it greenapple), in memoriam Mark, the geektechnique.org guy.
My next project gonna be to built a subwoofer into a macintosh classic housing and to build a G3 motherboard based doorbell.
I love your podcast!Keep going guys!
