IT WORKS!!! After being on backorder for months, I got a hold of one of these and it works. I have tested it on both a G3-400 iMac DV and an 800 MHz eMac. On the iMac set the adapter to B only mode and I had no problems. It is slow, but its on the n…
Nice. I'll get that too.
MacHeads was kind of like a Leni Riefenstahl propaganda movie though, didn't flip my boat, preaching to the converted, that kind of thing. Interesting to see Adam Engst in the flesh though. Also at 50 minutes pretty short.…
WhollyMindless: It's all Panther and Tiger so it's not too tough to manage. It's a little pokey in places, but I'm asking a lot of the hardware in those places. When I first got there it was a mixed 8/9/X network. That wasn't so fun to manage.
That was a good story about playing with Mac Paint. I had a similar experience with mouse envy and buying a one for my IIe. Also I read about you cooking
sunday Brunch. Here is a link for a Pear Fritter recipe that is easy to make and tastes great. http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,1977,FOOD_9936_83690,00.html
I manage what I'm boldly going to call the RetroMacNetwork. I maintain 70 iMac G3s, 40 eMac G4s, and 15 iBook G4s with 20 or so other "modern" Macs in the mix. It's all held together by one Xserve G4, two extensively upgraded Powermac G4s, and a 12" Powerbook G4 server (don't ask).
Personally, I have a 3 PPC minis. One acting as a media PC device for running my home theater, one as a my home pc, and one as a network server. I also have a 12" Powerbook which my girls use as their pc/music station. Finally I have Sparky, my Macbook Pro, which I mostly use for processing video at home.
