I celebrated the 25th birthday of the Macintosh by making and appropriately decorated brownie and playing some of my all-time favorite retro black-and-white games, Lode Runner
and Crystal Quest
. If you've never played these, fire up MiniVMac or your old compact Mac and give them a try.
The Mac is such a party… Continue

To celebrate 25 years of Macintosh, I just spent the last week catching up with the Mac Folklore Radio podcast. I was familiar with the folklore.org site (and overwhelmed by the sheer number of stories) and to find the best presented in such a fun way was just perfect.
It was a huge effort by some amazing characters.

Saturday marks the 25th anniversary of the original Macintosh, the first personal computer to draw masses, introduce the mouse and incorporate a graphical user interface, relying on images instead of text. CNN and BBC News featured MacHEADS as drawing some very interesting insights about the Mac and the devoted community.
CNN - “Speaking of worship, filmmakers Ron and Kobi Shely created “MacHEADS: The Movie,” a 50-minute documentary that’ll be available next week on Amazon’s video on… Continue

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year.
I've been so busy with work since October, I haven't had a chance to post. But that doesn't mean that I haven't been collecting!
Since October I've been rapid catching up with the modern era...
- OK, so I'm a little late into this party, but I love my iPhone 3G 8Gb. I'm managed to convince my boss and General Manager to get one too - and they love them (not bad for a strictly… Continue

Right now I'm cleaning off my mom's Indigo iMac G3. When I say "my mom's" you can equate that to "mine" since I'm the one that usually buys them, tinkers with their insides and then releases them to the wild.
I bought her a nice iMac G4 off eBay last week and had it delivered to my job - unit plus "eyeball"So here speakers for $189 + shipping - where it's been sitting since last week as well since I've been out sick and too skittish to go into the office after hours and walk out with… Continue
