Where great old Macs live again!

Distractions... distractions... distractions...

A neighbor of mine dropped off a complete IIe, IIgs, and a box full of software that has been sitting in his garage for two years. Both machines come populated with an assortment of cards (no SCSI though). He also says he has an Imagewriter and a IIsi. I asked him what he wanted for the whole lot and he hasn't specified a price. We've agreed to work something out once the semester wraps up.

I should be wrapping up my semester curriculum for my minor. That's right. I have to develop an entire semester's curriculum for teaching 6-12 grade communications on top of everything else going on in my life. And I want to teach German. Instead I spent last night going through The Applesoft Tutorial (copyright 1981) that was in the box. I completed the whole darn tutorial in one sitting with my IIgs.

I was too young to develop anything when I used the ][+ in my gradeschool. So now I've got the bug to program something, but I'm going to have to wait a month until things settle down. I also want to close this deal for the hardware. Cleaning this lot up and programming it to do something might be a nice summer project.

Shiny! Also a Firefly commonly used term. Sounds like a fantastic score on some very nice Mac goodness! I wouldn't be able to keep my mind on my classwork, I'd be wanting to get in there an play. Good Luck!

Isn't this your second Firefly reference on this site? Now *that's* a distraction. Thank God Fox took it off the air so that their other, more important shows, could get airtime.
