Recent Aquisitions

Hello everybody. It's been a while since I posted. Nothing much interesting happening on my projects bench, but have picked up some new bits.

• non working Tangerine iMac
  
• iBook Graphite
• PowerBook G3 Wallstreet PDQ
• HD20 - with cable chopped off
  

The HD20 is the interesting one, just picked it up locally on eBay. It is minus the interface (floppy) cable that has been chopped off. I'm assuming that the cable from a spare 400K external drive could be used, but if anybody has circuit diagrams or any information they could pass on would be appreciated.

Congrats on the HD20! I have a few myself and love them. They look great under a 512k or Plus. If you have a non-working 400k drive I say go for it. I'm wondering if that cord was snipped for a reason though. Shame on the guy that cut it though, how about a post-it note describing what's wrong with the unit?

Either way, good luck! I don't have schematics for the HD20 but if I can help in any other way just let me know.

My guess is that the HD20 was originally on a kerb-side cleanup and someone cut the cable off to sell for copper scrap. I'm trying to email in photos to RMC (first me) so that others can see the butchery first hand.

TheNixer: are all three of those HD20's daisy chained and operational? A great looking photo, more so if all three were working.

Yes, I'm lucky enough to have all three working and daisy chained.
