Do you need a power supply for your 9500? because I am parting out a Workgroup Server 8550, and i bet they are the same. The power supply I have has a detachable motherboard power cord, It is a Mineba Electronics model AF000111, Apple Part Number 614-0038.
If it is the same, let me know. I have it apart right now to blow it out with compressed air, as it is encrusted with dust. The beast also has a huge fan on the cover that comes off.
Thanks John. I'm already rocking Warcraft II and SimCity 2000 on my iMac G3. I wouldn't mind getting a copy of Tie Fighter. Any other recommendations on good games?
Hi, John. Far out site, man! Glad I found it. Six Macs, newest being my Pismo. BTW, same last name, lol. My nic says it all as far as pronounciation goes...TTFN.
It is just coincidence that I have got the 128K just after the anniversary. I have been looking to get a mac 128k for some time, and I managed to get this one on eBay for a good price (£63 - about $45). It is in very good condition with minimal yellowing and comes with a carry case.
It was incorrectly advertised as a not advertised as a mac Fanny Mac, but the model number of M0001 gave it away.
I really like the show and I think you and James are doing a wonderful job!
Someday I will have the desk space necessary for a computer museum and I will be able to display it to everyone who is interested on it. Nice pictures! I am into any kind of old computers actually. Macs are just 1/3 of the game for me. Old PCs running windows/dos or *nix/bsd are also very interesting.
Wow, you really are into retro macs, pre G3 and beyond. I really look forward to each show and the walk through os history is great. You can see where we have been and be thankful we are here. When will the mac become self aware?
Thanks for the info- my Iigs came in the mail today! I unpacked it and hooked it right up to the tv. Its a revision 1 rom, with a 256k memory card. Not enough to run GSOS :( I got ProDos installed on a floppy and it seems to work nicely on the iigs. One thing i cant seem to fix though, when in text mode the screen is displayed in greyscale, but it switches to color when I go into graphics mode. Any way to fix this?
hey John! I have an odd question for you. I ordered a IIgs off ebay, and it should be coming soon (I can't wait!). It is just coming with a pair of disk drives and the base unit. I can plug it into my LCD tv through the composite output, but I am wondering, might it work with an LCD and a Mac to VGA adaptor? I think the LCDs may be able to handle a lower refresh rate. Have you tried something like that?
This will be my first Macworld, but I have a feeling it won't be my last. So, even though you won't be at this one, I'm sure I'll see you at a Macworld in the future!
Where great old Macs live again!

I'm currently browsing for a G5-tower for my collection, but they're still a bit expensive.
What new Mac did you get?
