What's wrong with "Woot!" I think that is a perfectly acceptable post with a deep insight as to how I think :)

Nice chat tool. I can't believe that I totally forgot about Meebo. I've used them forever.

The proper way to spell it is w00t <- with a lower case w and two zeroes. :-D

Sorry I missed you in the IRC chat. I was away playing laser tag with my daughter. I'm getting old, but I did manage to win one of the rounds.

The easiest way to get there is go to this page, set your nickname and go. It'll pop an IRC chat window already connected to a channel just for us.

Please forgive the use of the retromaccast name on that url, it was just a way to keep it clean and separated and where people could trust it.

Thank you for the welcome, James. Its a pleasure to be here. I've been spending my "winter break" knocking around the Internet while listening to all your earlier podcasts. Great job! This site is a terrific idea!

Thanks for the welcome James and glad to hear things are steaming ahead through the 50 episode barrier. Been listening since episode 1 and glad to see so many others share my interest / passion / obsession!

Hi,

a couple of episodes ago when you did 'all' of the apple keyboards you missed one out. The black version of the 'Apple design keyboard'. There is a picture on my page of it. Also have you got or ever seen the modem thing on my pics ?

Haha! Yeah I bought the Command Key pin on an impulse, I really wanted the refrigerator magnates you talked about, but they were gone.

Thanks for the welcome! I've been listening to RetroMacCast for quite a long time now and love the podcasts. I meant to join this group when it started but I've only now found time in my busy schedule to do so. I look forward to having an explore of this site and joining in the discussions.

Hey, James. Nope, I didn't hang onto my original 1984 Mac. I have clear memories of unboxing it with my daughters who were 10 and 12 at the time, but I can't for the life of me remember what I replaced it with or who I sold/gave it to. I do remember swapping floppy disks in and out, always hoping that I was on the last swap before the program would start up. Look foward to meeting you at MacWorld.

Hi James, thanks for the welcome. The thing in the photo is a Battle-Bot form the, now defunct TV show. I use to do first aid for the company contracted by Battle-Bots. That one was wounded in battle, and I had the owner e-mail me the photo. I guess I should specify that I did First Aid for the humans, not the bots. And, Yes! I am going to MacWorld! WoooHooo! I have had to miss it for a few years, and I'm glad to be going back. I use to go every year when I lived in the SF Bay Area, but since I moved south, and got so busy working, I've had to skip. I am hoping to connect with the Vintage Mac fans there. Any suggestions on how I can meet up?

Thanks James! That's my RetroMacCast refrigerator magnet that I'm holding for all to see, and my well-used RetroMacCast hat! My local user's group (dBug) always gets a kick out of the hat when I wear it to the meetings. Spreading the RetroMacCast love!

James O James--I guess you never read all the comments on your flickr account. the Jacket is photo shopped, in honor of your jean Jacket--the one you left at home--why would you leave it at home--missing the absolute perfect time to wear it. LMAO

Sorry about that James. I'll send the real Mac OS Ken an e-mail clearing that mess up.

I just listened to the podcast and watched the video of James on Extreme Mac Fans with David Pogue - that was GREAT! Loved it!
It sounds like you and John had a pretty fabulous time. Can't wait for the upcoming podcasts to hear more. Welcome home!

Hey James, were you able to keep the modicule? if so that would be soon cool--espeically if you thought to have it autographed by Pogue. John did great job on the camera
