It is just cool to have an afternoon of seeing BASIC and Pascal in action, with an Apple IIGS as backdrop. :)

Fantastic!  You must be very proud.

Awesome! :)

I have twin 11 month old boys. I hope they share my interest in computers and programming... I certainly have enough old computers for them to play with :) What age did Ding Wen start learning to program?

Yup, the experience itself of shooting this is very nice. :)

Ding Wen starts programming - on an Apple II - at the age of 7!

How did you introduce him to programming? Did you sit him down with an Apple II and a BASIC reference manual? Did he ask, "daddy, where do programs come from?". I'm kind of fascinated by this.

Actually, it is him who asked about how to write a game... the introduction to the Apple II programming is just part of writing the game. I have documented the whole journey in... RetroMacCast blog post! You can see the story unfolded here (please read in reverse order and skip anything you are not interested). http://retromaccast.ning.com/profiles/blog/list?user=rxq26qsiiir9

Thank you! It is so fun to have an Apple IIGS on video.
