Advice and help on coercing yourself or significant other into utilizing the touch interface found here.

Welcome to the group! Why have a group like this with a bunch of people who are fans of antique machines? Because the antique machines we know and love were part of a revolution started by Apple, a computer for the rest of us. These devices are a part of another revolution, our life in our pocket!

While we do like to gaze upon yesteryear, we also should take note what is going on in the present and into the future. Besides, it won't take too long for the original devices to become yesterday's news.

Also, is there an app or a way to use my bluetooth keyboard with the iPod Touch or iPhone? I love the keyboard and I use it with my laptop, but I hate the tiny texting keyboard built into the iPod Touch. Thanks in advance for any insight or help with this.

@ VannBaker: You can use any Bluetooth Keyboard on any iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad as long as it can run iOS 4.00 or higher. I believe that is the 3rd-4th Gen iPod Touch, the iPhone 3GS-4, and both iPads. Hope this helps you!

My iPod Touch 2g's been very finicky.  Had to replace the battery (obviously) and the headphone jack (after getting torqued the wrong way).  Got both replacement parts installed, went to reassemble everything back together and the LCD panel cracks!  Found some replacement LCDs for it on ebay ($ cheap!), I go to replace that and I get nothing but an all-white display; no cracks, no normal iOS desktop, nothing but all white.  Bad logic board?  Wrong replacement LCD?  I don't know, but I'm probably gonna replace the whole thing; after all that work I put into fixing it.  >:P
