I may be critical of you for having lots of Macs and not using them

Macs are pretty capable computers. Even though one of their many functions is sitting there and looking good, they can do way more than that.

Why I don't like Mac collections

Alright so, what's not to like about Mac collections? If you've got one, I'm sure you've gotten some grief from PC users, the 'non believers.' But from another Mac user? What's not to like?

Whenever I see pictures of huge, extensive Mac collections, I'm struck by two things. The first one, envy. As the 5x series is the 'father' of the iMacs, they even offer a few more features, as the TV. But a 5500/275 and an iMac G3/233 can't compete; the 750 is faster than the 603ev.
Having an upgraded 5400 G3, running 9.1, I can tell you: a Startup may need 3 minutes or more.

That's not the worst decision, as learning English isn't for us.
If there are any questions about German - dare to ask.
I'd be proud to help.

Yep, 8.6 works best, but I wanted to have iTunes - requiring 9.1 - running on it.

Also - diese Rechner arbeiten mit 8.6 am besten, aber für iTunes muß 9.1 installiert sein.
These computers are designed for (originally 8.0 to 8.5.1) 8.6.
