G3s, G4s and Power Macs
My favorite macs from apple are the 9500 and 8600 and the 6500. the 9500 was great for running mac os 7.5.2 all the way through 9.2.2 plus os x 10.0-10.4. it can even run 10.5 with a g4 upgrade and extra kexts.
I hope to get a Power Mac G4 Graphite Dual or Quicksilver Dual. I remember desperately wanting a G4 when i was little, now i have a chance to get one cause they're obsolete. The G4 is an awesome mac.
The 6500 is the coolest looking mac ever. My personal power mac is a little newer; it's a power mac g3. running at 266mhz, it's a capable performer. I hope to add a old G4 upgrade to it, and a lot of ram. It's my "straddler" mac, for transferring between the mini and older macs.
My favorite older macs I own are a LC III, with SCSI ethernet adapter and SCSI CD-ROM, and a Power Mac 7100 with AAUI ethernet (need an adapter).
My electic collection of mac peripherals includes a few stylewriters, a portable stylewriter, scsi cd-rom, syquest, scsi cables, lc pds ethernet, and apple keyboard II and extended keyboard I. I have an original Mac Plus, mouse and keyboard, but the base plus doesn't work.
My favorite Quadra is probably the 840av for being a steal at $3,300 for all that power. The Quadra 950 was available at the same time, but it cost more and gave you less (7Mhz slower CPU and no AV features).
