Ooof. So it's been a while since I've been around guys. I have been super busy with work and travel.
Recently due to personal illness, I spent a lot of time trawling the web to fill in my time and my collection.
As I have been very frugal I decided to splash out on a number of items.
I now own an Apple Daisywheel Printer, a JLPGA Laptop, An Apple Color Plotter, an Apple Monitor 100 just to name a few of the rare beings I have located.
This is my invention an Apple //e Raspberry pi with a case made of paper and a real Apple //e emulator made it run at bootup in fullscreen have a look here!:
I occasionally get asked if I can record 100 minutes onto a CD.
Whilst I have been able to buy 100 minute blank CD's I have not been able to use them.
I tried a long time ago using various versions of Toast4 Toast 5 Toast 6 and probably some of the newer versions.
I think I have a copy of Toast 8 9 & 10
I suffer from MS so understanding this technology stuff is quite hard for me.
I found most people want me…Continue

When I started listening to the RetroMacCast, I had only a very vague idea of what a Newton was. After about 60 or so episodes (I started with the first episode), I was intrigued and started to do some research of my own. Unsurprisingly, I ended up buying one. I decided that I was going to get a Newton 130, since that would enable me to use new batteries without the hassle of having to rebuild a battery pack.
Said and done, I had some fun playing around with it, but I struggled to…Continue

Hello Macintosh People,
This is one of my creation, an AMIGA 1200 Raspberry Pi prototype. I know itsn't an Apple but can be similar aestetically to an Apple II.
Now The case with mounting holes for Raspberry pi and keyrah v2 can be bought from amigastore.eu after a successfull Kickstarter from Phil Lang.

This is a short video of how works my Macintosh Plus Raspberry Pi, the image is like the real Macintosh Plus but i have to scroll the screen because of the size of crt tv 5,5" instead of a 9" in the Macintosh plus. The effect is impressive.
Yes my TAM arrived all the way from Japan. Alas, when I plugged it in I heard a muffled pop from somewhere inside the subwoofer/power supply. I didn't smell the magic smoke though, and when I got the subwoofer taken apart (Thank you https://www.cardboard-box.com/fixtambuzz/index.html !!) Spiderwebs, some dead bugs (Imported dead bugs, fancy!) and corroded metal are what greeted me. The one and only fuze still reads good and I…Continue
Hey everyone, FWIW guest access on my classic share is fixed. Connect to afp://www.tauceti.org as guest (should mount automatically, if not mount the "classic" share) and have a look.
I picked up an LCII awhile back, not sure if I posted about it here or not. Anyway, I had System 7 all installed up and boom...the hard drive dies. Yikes. I was able to find another SCSI drive on eBay for uh...too much...I've yet to reinstall the system. I was using an old iBook G3 with MacOS 9 to restore the System 7 disk images onto floppies on at a time. I had so many bad floppies I ended up having to use the same darn one. That's right, image, install, eject, re-image, eject, install,…Continue
Let's all gather around our favorite beige beauty, open the Feb '98 MacAddict disc, and enjoy this holiday classic "It's A Wonderful Mac".
No disc? No problem, it can be found here to!
If you're interested, you can connect to tauceti.org via AFP, connect as guest, and mount "classic". It has quite a bit of classic Macintosh software you may find handy.
I don't want to post it twice, so here.

Aralia asked, "What can you do with a G5?" but has wall moderation turned on so I can't reply. Setting aside all the things that fall under the category of "everything you can do with a modern Mac but slower":
It started out innocently enough.
I've gone from having zero old Macs to having two of Apple's least desirable Macs sitting beside me in my office. One is a clone and the other a (shudder) PowerBook 5300.
Last summer, a StarMax 4000 showed up at my office door. I had to take it. A 4000-series? That means a 604e! Yummmmmmm! Not…Continue
So I had my first podcast experience last week, thanks to David, James and John! Listening back it was ok but I waffled on a bit in the second half of it - for that I apologise! Lack of audio experience i'm afraid.
The Lisa 2 version of the PiXL is done in terms of design, we're waiting on the first batch to come through and we've already had a small number of orders for it which is fantastic. Although, I stress again, this isn't a commercial project as the main objective…Continue
