Where great old Macs live again!

OK, I've been guilted into becoming a member.

Considering that I avoid EVERY other "Social Network", I find it strange that I signed up here. Maybe it's because I'm not too abnormal here.

I've been an Apple owner since 1979 (with a break in the middle) but still haven't managed to get back to day to day Apple use. Someday maybe.

I've got a PowerBook 5300ce that I haven't spent enough time with - between a bunch of dead batteries and a flakey power connector, it's just hard to sit down with it. I've also got a Wallstreet (Ok, it's a "Mainstreet") that I've bumped the memory on and put 10.2 on it. I really bought it to get software over to a IIgs I'd just put back together but I'm finding all these old systems interesting. Because of the limited memory (currently 320M), I dropped a 512 meg CF in it and set up OSX to swap to the CF to cut down on the churn on the hard drive. It's helped.

I thought I was nuts for having a couple of old macs, an even older apple, a couple of atari 800s and a C64. I'm nuts, I'm just peanuts.

And - I've listened to every episode of RetroMacCast and Retrobits.

Thanks for having me!
