Where great old Macs live again!

So, last week I added another 'batch' of old hardware to my collection!

- Power Macintosh 7100/66
- Power Mac G4 466
- Macintosh SE
- Newton Messagepad 120
- Powerbook 100

- NextStation Turbo

I found a collector in Amsterdam selling some of his machines through a 'Wanted' ad on a local Craigslist clone. ( He really set me up with all the right cables, software, peripherals etc.

Last tuesday I've been busy hooking everything up, cleaning and booting them for the first time, mainly focussing on getting the Next online. The Nextstation has an ethernet connector (10-BaseT) which now is connected to an Airport base station's lan port and browsing the web in beautiful Black & White on the Megapixel display with Nextstep 3.3 and the Omniweb web browser.

The Mac SE has a coax network plug which I can connect using a coax/UTP equipped network switch.

My next project will be to get networking going on System 6.0.8 on the SE, any hints? The SE has Ethertalk installed but I don't really know a lot on System 6, 7 has so far been the oldest I've used.

I envy you... :) Great batch, specially the NeXTstation!

I loaded a 6.0.8 on my LC just a few days ago (uploaded a sreenshot), it is more similar to 7.0.1 than I thought it was - most apps running, but he repeatedly vanishing Finder can make you nervous.
6.0.8 can be downloaded for 800k (2 disks), but I think it's done much easier from a Zip or Syquest or whatever you have.
I've visited the 'marktplaats' as well - never read the handling/postage charges for Duitsland - are they acceptable ?
