Where great old Macs live again!

From Green to Retina : the complete story of Apple displays

Very interesting blog post telling the whole story of Apple displays.

On a personal note, I still prefer the image on a CRT, rather than LCD.

Even if I'm very well equiped with Apple Cinema 24 and 30", there is nothing like the warm feeling given by a CRT.

Furthermore, my favorite Apple display of all time has to be the AppleVision 1710AV - Sony Trinition CRT, Harman Kardon speakers.

Today, I'm still wondering what's going on with the bright displays, especially on laptops.

Do Apple engineers take their laptops outside ?

Good find Laurent. Thanks for sharing this. Just the kinda overview I like.  All I know is this- the new displays make things look soooooo good- they make me want to buy every old Mac I look at on eBay :)

Didn't get to read the entire article, but I saved a PDF copy for latter!  I have one of the 22" Acrylic stands.  I love it so much, and have it hooked up to my Aluminum iMac for extended desktop use.  I also have the 15" Studio version I bought from the same person!!

I'd love to get a look at some of the older displays, like the Portrait, and two page ones!!
