Where great old Macs live again!

Not sure why these things exist.

Unprotected M4A is purchased from iTunes. Won't play. Says it needs stupid authorization.

Sorry, can't do that, Crapple won't allow me to authorize using iTunes 4. Why does this garbage exist? Who else remembers the good old days before all this useless mess?

They did it to appease the big fat entertainment industry.

To me, "the good old days" meant "taking physical media and importing it into the unprotected format of my choice" which, thankfully, I can still do. :-)

Reposting - Editing on a mobile device just isn't fun

Apple hasn't removed protection from video to my knowledge. That would mean that to play you would have to go though the hoops and authorize and all that. It's a shame they can't just take our money and give us working product. It used to be so simple.

Sadly they spend lots of money on the drm systems instead of on product and making it easy for us to find and pay for it.
