Not very retro we have G4 550MHZ, the fun story is that I sold it 3 years ago, and kind of felt bad about it and just a few weeks ago I bumped into the woman who bought it, and she gave it back to me for free:) Cool site by the way
Cheers

Yikes! Get in there and save those computers! Good luck with the Blue G3. Those are nice machines. What computers are they replacing these with?

They would happen to be many many MANY boxes of MacBook's that were in a skip. It caught my eye as i was walking to class, so I took a picture.

Kendall,

I see that you have a Quadra 660av. I had one of those - bought it new when they first came out! It was so cool... I'm happy to hear that some of them are still running.
Thanks,
Cathy

Personally I have a PowerMac G3 Desktop and an iBook G4. At work I have a 17" MacBook Pro (Core Duo) and a dead G5 (liquid cooled.)

Kendall, my machines are not quite as retro as most, the first Mac I bought (new) was a G3-500 Snow iBook, but I've been in collector mode recently. Drop in and see my blog for a bit of a story.

RE: The First Mac I owned

The first mac that _I_ owned was a Snow iMac G3. The first Apple my family owned was an Apple //c. The first mac that I used regularly (and which started my PowerBook / MacBook / Laptop addiction) was a PowerBook 165c.

Thanks for the comment on my photo! It's not a HDD drive hooked up to my iMac, but a power surge protector/battery back up/power conditioner. I posted a little comment explaining why I went with Geek Squad on my photo. Check it out, and keep on loving those Macs!! :-)
